LIUDMILA MATSYURA

               Concert Organist                                            

 

      Russian Concert Organist graduated from the M.I.Glinka Conservatory

(Nizhniy Novgorod - Russia) at which she has obtained her diplomas as artist - concert organist and pianist in the class of well-known professor and renowned concert organist G.I.Kozlova.


      From 1986 to 2003 she worked as Organist Soloist and pianist in the Irkutsk Philharmonic Society (Russia), and has carried out a great creative work as a soloist, organist, having performed several cycles of organ concerts, as a member of the trio "Rondo" and duet "Concertino" and also has been participating in concerts with a singers, instruments and choirs.


     LIUDMILA MATSYURA   has improved her performing skills at master classes of the well-known artists: Leo Kremer, Piet Kee, Ewald Kooiman, Harald Vogel and Lionnel Rogg (Bach and German Baroque music) Arturo Sacchetti and Luigi Ferdinando Tagliavini (Early Italian  music), Guy Bovet and Montserrat Torrent (Old Spanish music), Alain Marie Claire and Bernard Lagacé (classical French music), Jean Guillou (romantic and contemporary music), Margaret Philips and B. Winsemius (english early music and Sweelinck music). He has repeatedly participated in the activities of the great International Organ Academies in Innsbruck, Zurich, Haarlem, Florence and Salamanca.


      The artist has a large repertoire list that includes organ works from the fifteenth century to contemporary music. Among  her favourite composers are: J.S. Bach, D.Buxtehude, C. Franck, O. Messiaen,  J. Langlais, L. Vierne , Ch.M. Widor and others. She interprets all organ works of J.S.Bach, D.Buxtehude and F.Mendelssohn.        

 

 LIUDMILA MATSYURA is having actually a big activity as concert organist in Europe and Russia, taking part  at  the numerous International Organ Festivals in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Spain, Norway, Scotland and France. Her recitals have been heard in known  cathedrals of Europe: Notre-Dame de Paris, Dom zu Salzburg (Austria), St.Bonifaz Basilica in Munich, St. Gile's Cathedral in Edinburgh (Scotland), Domkirke Stavanger (Norway), Cathedrals of Palma de Mallorca, Salamanca and Alcalá de Henares(Madrid) and in different churches in the communities of Catalonia, Castilla y Leon and  Madrid.


       In Spain during the recent years the organist has been involved, among others, in the: International Organ Week in Madrid (2004), IV International Organ Festival of Palma de Mallorca (2004), XXX International Week of historical organs in Mallorca (2006), V International Series of Organ Music-"The organ and its instruments” of Valladolid, International Festival in Ibiza, International Organ Festival in Toledo etc.


       Organist has participated in many radio and TV programmes and has made several recordings on CD, has realized First Series of Organ concerts in the Church of the Sacred Hearts in Madrid.

 

       LIUDMILA MATSYURA   is an international concert organist, organist titular of the Cathedral-Magistral in Alcala de Henares (Madrid), is the initiator, organizer and Artistic Director of the International Organ Festival "City of Alcala".  She exercises as a choirmaster in the company SOCIEDAD LÍRICA COMPLUTENSE with which she collaborates as an organist, cembalo and pianist. Organist has been a jury´s member of various competitions including the 70th national contest for Young Performers Jeunesses Musicals of Spain.
